Sphygmomanometer principle of operation

The main principle of sphygmomanometer refers to the process of measuring the blood flow pressure during this period by applying pressure to compress the local artery and by applying pressure to stop the local artery pulsation. The measurement principles of sphygmomanometers can be divided into two types: the auscultatory method and the oscillometric method.

The auscultation method sphygmomanometer mainly includes mercury sphygmomanometer (manometer), spring gauge sphygmomanometer (pressure light column sphygmomanometer, light display sphygmomanometer, liquid crystal sphygmomanometer, etc.).

The oscillometric method, also known as the oscillometric method, is based on the principle of obtaining the oscillometric waves generated during the deflation process, and the principle of converting blood pressure values through a certain algorithm. Most electronic blood pressure monitors are designed using the oscillometric principle.
